Scope of works

 

Carmody Construction carried out internal structural works, partitions and fit-out work in preparation for the shop fitting of the retail trade units. The works also included forming new structural openings within glazing and curtain walling systems and associated drainage works.

Design Innovations:

The full height partitions were re-designed to ensure that they were compliant with the fire and acoustic specifications. The materials were also selected to ensure that a robust solution for a long term life span partition wall was achieved.

 

 

Carmody completed the structural works including a lightweight steel frame efficiently and worked with restricted access and ensured that works were fully segregated from the public areas. The works were completed on programme to enable the trade fit-outs to commence on time.’

Sector: New Build Houses- Dinnington

 

 

Scope of works

 

A brownfield site in Rotherham that required the demolition of existing buildings to enable the construction of six new build semi-detached properties. The properties have been built to robust housing details fully compliant with Building Regulations and to Code Three for Sustainable Homes. (Completion shots to be issued)

Design Innovations:

Wider span suspended ground floors. Re-cycled aggregates form the demolition waste used as part of the new-build construction. Properties built in accordance with Robust Construction details.

 

 

Works have progressed well on site and Carmody have managed the works from demolition through to the completion of the certified properties. The standard of workmanship has been excellent from locally employed trades.
